The Elephant in the Room: Is TD Jakes a Trinitarian?
Today Dr. James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries made the clear, strong case that TD Jakes has some exceedingly serious problems with his “Trinitarian theology” (to say the least) that simply are not being addressed by those who should know to do so. I highly recommend that you listen to it here – http://aomin.org/aoblog/index.php?itemid=4955
At one point Dr. White raised a question about whether or not Jakes baptizes in the name of Jesus only. According to “Alumni Pages” made available by Friends International Christian University, “His views on God and water baptism is [sic] Oneness Pentecostal.” See …

Another Atheist Inaccuracy on Choosing Hats Contributors
In the past certain atheists have made the mistake of skipping over the names of the authors of posts made to this site and have attributed them instead to various other contributors who did not write said posts. It is an honest enough mistake, though one wonders what the underlying difficulty is when the mistake happens multiple times even after correction. Lo and behold another atheist has made the even greater mistake of attributing a dispute to Choosing Hats that in reality has nothing to do with the site. I have been meaning to briefly address it.
Toward the end …

The Greatest Story Ever Told
It is extremely refreshing to find probably the greatest philosopher of our time writing something like the following in his newest book:
…For according to the Christian story, God, the almighty first being of the universe and the creator of everything else, was willing to undergo enormous suffering in order to redeem creatures who had turned their backs on him. He created human beings; they rebelled against him and constantly go contrary to his will. Instead of treating them as some Oriental monarch would, he sent his Son, the Word, the second person of the Trinity into the world. The

Formal Faith
The Concept of Faith in the Abstract
The presence of formal faith in every allegedly non-believing system of thought is often a profound discovery for those who are new to presuppositional apologetics. By “formal faith” I mean merely faith. Faith qua faith. It is not overly important what that faith is in. Strictly speaking, it does not matter that this form of faith be in anything at all. Faith is simply considered in the abstract. Formal faith is generic faith. And we all have it. Or so says the individual who is new to presuppositional apologetics.
The Concept of …

Michael Sudduth Has Apostatized
The unfortunate news of Michael Sudduth’s apostasy came to me this morning in the form of a link from another contributor to the site. Steve Hays of Triablogue has posted Michael Sudduth’s de-conversion testimonial and commented on it here – http://triablogue.blogspot.com/2012/01/mind-at-end-of-its-tether.html.
Before Deactivating my Facebook account I watched Dr. Sudduth’s Status updates with some concern. Having studied Religion in both secular and Christian schools I realize what it can look like to others when one immerses oneself in a non-Christian religion in an effort to understand and represent it fairly. But Dr. Sudduth’s Profile appeared to be dedicated much …

Atheism Takes Hit From SOPA Protests
Madison, Wisconsin – 1/18/12
Analyst Bert Toast recently explained that atheists might not be so quick to support the SOPA protests come early Wednesday morning. Several major websites have decided to blackout on Wednesday, January 18 to show their opposition to the so-called SOPA and PIPA bills. Among the Internet sites that have chosen to shut down are www.reddit.com and www.wikipedia.com. Toast believes that the protests may have serious consequences for atheism.
…It’s just that – of the 86% of atheists who only exist on the Internet, 67% spend all of their time at reddit. Take that site away
