Another Atheist Inaccuracy on Choosing Hats Contributors
In the past certain atheists have made the mistake of skipping over the names of the authors of posts made to this site and have attributed them instead to various other contributors who did not write said posts. It is an honest enough mistake, though one wonders what the underlying difficulty is when the mistake happens multiple times even after correction. Lo and behold another atheist has made the even greater mistake of attributing a dispute to Choosing Hats that in reality has nothing to do with the site. I have been meaning to briefly address it.
Toward the end …

The Greatest Story Ever Told
It is extremely refreshing to find probably the greatest philosopher of our time writing something like the following in his newest book:
…For according to the Christian story, God, the almighty first being of the universe and the creator of everything else, was willing to undergo enormous suffering in order to redeem creatures who had turned their backs on him. He created human beings; they rebelled against him and constantly go contrary to his will. Instead of treating them as some Oriental monarch would, he sent his Son, the Word, the second person of the Trinity into the world. The

Atheism Takes Hit From SOPA Protests
Madison, Wisconsin – 1/18/12
Analyst Bert Toast recently explained that atheists might not be so quick to support the SOPA protests come early Wednesday morning. Several major websites have decided to blackout on Wednesday, January 18 to show their opposition to the so-called SOPA and PIPA bills. Among the Internet sites that have chosen to shut down are www.reddit.com and www.wikipedia.com. Toast believes that the protests may have serious consequences for atheism.
…It’s just that – of the 86% of atheists who only exist on the Internet, 67% spend all of their time at reddit. Take that site away

One More Petty Post
An atheist visitor named Jnani titles his Tuesday, December 27, 2011 post, “When Choosing Hats Attack.” It may be found here – http://fortheloveofreason.blogspot.com/2011/12/when-choosing-hats-attack.html.
“Choosing hats has decided to create a post personally attacking me.”
Actually, I was lured into creating a post to address Jnani’s endorsement here – https://twitter.com/#!/freethought4you/status/149248483218554881/photo/1 of Rosa Rubicondior’s absurd conspiracy theory that Choosing Hats dishonestly deletes comments from atheists, a claim that was thoroughly debunked here – https://choosinghats.org/2011/12/a-brief-response-to-atheist-rosa-rubicondiors-conspiracy-theory and here – https://choosinghats.org/2011/12/rosa-rubicondior-unsuccessfully-tries-to-save-face. Jnani has not responded to a single line of argument or evidence from these two posts but continues to accuse us of …

“It’s a Conspiracy!” – Freethinking Jnani Joins Truther Rosa Rubicondior
It seems UK atheists like Rosa Rubicondior are not the only ones who spend too much time at Prison Planet. American atheist Jnani joined Rosa Rubicondior in her efforts to use Twitter to expose the great conspiracy against atheists at Choosing Hats – https://twitter.com/#!/freethought4you/status/149248483218554881/photo/1.
Unfortunately he either did not read or did not understand what Rosa actually wrote before joining in on the protest. He writes, “Here is more proof that Choosing Hats selectively filters comments on its blog just like Rosa Rubicondior claims.” But Rosa Rubicondior did not make the claim Jnani attributes to her. Rosa accused us …

Rosa Rubicondior Unsuccessfully Tries to Save Face
Rosa Rubicondior is an atheist from the UK who has been insisting that there is some great conspiracy at Choosing Hats to systematically delete comments submitted by atheists. Her harebrained conspiracy theory was easily dealt with in my latest post here – https://choosinghats.org/2011/12/a-brief-response-to-atheist-rosa-rubicondiors-conspiracy-theory. Rosa simply does not have a leg to stand on. Not only have a handful of the contributors to the site engaged in numerous public debates with atheists, but we have spent hours answering comments from atheists posted to this site – our site – in an attempt to answer their concerns, and this is to …

A Brief Response to Atheist Rosa Rubicondior’s Conspiracy Theory
Conspiracy theories abound amongst atheists in the UK. Take as one example Rosa Rubicondor, a woman who describes herself as a “centre-left atheist humanist.” Rosa Rubicondior is a fundamentalist atheist whose Internet presence is dedicated almost exclusively to spewing vitriolic absurdities toward Christians. Today she tweeted at Choosing Hats to ask, “Still routinely deleting answers from #Atheists so u can claim they aren’t posting any?” (https://mobile.twitter.com/RosaRubicondior/status/149173040746475520)
Rosa’s question is, of course, loaded. Her question assumes that Choosing Hats deletes answers from atheists, does so on a routine basis, and does so in order to claim that atheists …

“Theology is Piffle” – Paul S. Jenkins on Debate
Once upon a time I wrote to Paul S. Jenkins in a comment on his blog and said, “Any time you are willing to debate, ‘Theology is Piffle’ let me know!” In response he asks, “Is it worth debating?” Answering his own question, he writes, “Probably not, because in order to ‘debate’ sensibly about something, both sides must be clear that they are discussing the same thing.”
Is it true that both sides in a debate must be clear that they are discussing the same thing? Probably not, and I can think of any number of debates where the participants …
