Everything Is Evidence
So does what happened according to this news article serve to confirm or refute the truth of Christianity?
Of course the answer is that it confirms the truth of Christianity just as any other fact does, but we do not view facts as evidence from outside of a view of the world wherein they make sense. Unbelievers will undoubtedly attempt to account for the event without having to say that it is obvious Christianity is the Truth just as they do with all other evidence. Still, this is particularly embarrassing evidence for the unbeliever to have to deal with. I …

Death of Antony Flew
Al Mohler has written on the death of Antony Flew.
Having just learned of this sad event I wish to comment on it but do not have the time as of right now. May this be a reminder to both Christians and non-Christians that the topics we discuss are real. The point of the discussion is about much, much more than winning a debate or outdoing another in terms of witty comments.…

Discussion With Nocterro: Incomplete Final Response
Below are the links to the previous parts of an informal debate that I began with Nocterro some time ago. Unfortunately Nocterro had to take a break from the exchange and shortly thereafter I needed to as well. The final comments I offer here are rather incomplete and do not summarize the argument up to this point nor touch on every point which was a matter of contention. Nocterro has requested that I go forward with posting what I have anyway and I am happy to oblige. I want to thank Nocterro for being willing to engage in this discussion …

A Response to Joshua Butcher’s Open Letter to Choosing Hats
Joshua Butcher has written an ‘open letter’ to Choosing Hats in regard to my recent posts concerning whether or not the Transcendental Argument for God is a deductive argument. Below is his letter in its entirety followed by my response.
…To the men of choosing hats,
I have interacted with Ron in various ways and under different demeanors. I have more than once been on the opposing end of an argument with him, and I have more often found his arguments quite sound and lucid.
Not only has he provided the context you deny, but he has provided actual deductive

A Response To Mark
“It is no wonder that the critic has a problem making up his mind about hats and the RazorsKiss does not appear to be razor sharp.”
– Mark
“They [Mr. Di Giacomo’s posts] are thorough, clear, correct and easily understood. At least if one is willing to wipe the tears away and quit whining.
Cheers”– Mark
“If Then” Statements and Modus Tollens
Someone named Mark, commenting on Mr. Di Giacomo’s most recent blog post found here writes, “TAG is a very simple if / then. It doesn’t require much of an argument to show that, just the short demonstration …

Concerning The Rumors
Recently I have been asked a number of times by a handful of people about whether or not I have “given up on” the Transcendental Argument for the Existence of God (TAG). Some readers may have heard rumors about my position on TAG and possibly even some rumors concerning me leaving Choosing Hats. I feel as though I need to go ahead and address the hearsay.
It has been my position from the beginning that while presuppositionalism relies heavily upon TAG, TAG need not be the only argument a presuppositionalist employs in his or her apologetic endeavor. There are other …

Nitpicking With Nocterro
Recently I posted the audio recording of a debate I had roughly three years ago. A visitor to the site named Nocterro commented in response, “You appear to have used Plantinga’s evolutionary argument against naturalism without citing Plantinga.” By this I take him to mean that I do not just “appear” to have used Plantinga’s EAAN without citing Plantinga but that I actually did use Plantinga’s EAAN. In response to this observation I simply responded with a joke:
What? Plantinga thought of an argument like that too?! You know what they say about great minds. 😉
Explaining my jest is …

“Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Irrefutable Evidence that Christianity is True!”
In a recent post I wrote:One can only hope that Dawson Bethrick’s eyes will be opened to the absolute foolishness of putting forth so much effort in an attempt to refute a worldview that he constantly claims is so silly. If you want evidence that Christianity is true you need not look any further than Dawson Bethrick.Today he wrote a new post about the last sentence from the quote above. It is quoted in its entirety below. In a recent blog entry, presuppositional apologist Chris Bolt once and for all settles the age-old question about evidence for -
SBTS Panel Discussion On Brian McLaren’s “A New Kind of Christianity”
I was asked about the recent panel discussion at SBTS on Brian McLaren. I had planned to post the video. Pay attention especially to Dr. Wellum (addressed by Dr. Mohler as “Steve”).
